We all know there's a housing crisis in the UK, but not everyone knows how we can go about fixing it. Luckily, one Italian architect may have the answer.
Renato Vidal has managed to create an affordable flat pack folding home which takes less than a day to install once on site.
The innovative M.A.Di houses are made in a factory before being flat packed and easily transported via lorry or container to any location around the world (although the delivery fee isn't exactly cheap).

The eco-friendly home is earthquake proof, and can be transformed into a finished home with windows and doors in just six to seven hours.
The process involves a team of three people and involves each module being unfolded before the interior walls and flooring are added.
The home has a stylish, sleek design with tons of open living space. It comes in a variety of sizes, from a 290-square-foot one-bed for £24.8k to a 904-square-foot family home for £54.9k.

It'll cost you a fair bit more to get it here, with the cost of delivery to the UK adding on around an extra 30 per cent of the cost of your home, so anywhere between £9k and £23k.
Additionally, if you're in the UK, you won't actually be able to buy the cheapest option as legislation prevents the construction of any homes under 28 square metres - the smallest MADi home is 26 square metres. However, that's still way cheaper than the cost of any other home, really.
The homes all have the ability to be completely off-grid and run themselves with solar panels and LED lighting.

All models also include a fitted bathroom, kitchen connections and technical installations.
The A-frame home will be delivered 60 days on from the acceptance of final drawings of your home, and if you're interested in picking one up, you can go here.
