A cleaning product costing only 89p has left shoppers stunned after a woman showed off how well it worked with her 'revolting' deep fat fryer.

Jade Williams, from Bridgend, gave the cleaning paste, The Pink Stuff, a glowing review, saying: "The Pink Stuff is 89p from Home Bargains. I was going to throw my fryer out as it was revolting but got The Pink Stuff out instead - definitely recommend."

Jade shared the before and after images of her fryer on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK and fellow users of the page heaped praise on the impressive results and agreed that it's a useful product.

"I use it around my kitchen, I clean my sink, my oven and hobs, the sides, the tiles, it's an all rounder really," one person commented.

Someone else showed off how well it cleaned an oven door.

The British company behind the product, Star Brands, describes the cleaner as a "hardworking, cream cleaner is designed to help you remove stains from around the home whilst being gentle on surfaces.

"Ideal for cleaning glass, tiles, paintwork and more, The Pink Stuff cream paste is the perfect all round cleaning product and a must have for those who like to keep their homes sparkling."

And it's also got one very famous fan: Instagram superstar Mrs Hinch.

The cleaning guru, with 1.5 million followers, revealed how she used the product to prepare her home for the festive period.

Sophie is obsessed with using The Pink Stuff paste to give her oven a thoroughly deep clean and to get her stove top absolutely sparkling.

She uses a generous amount before scrubbing away at the dirt with her 'Minky' M Cloth anti-bacterial cleaning pad after leaving it for a couple of minutes.
