A video posted by a TikTok dating expert has been slammed for giving men reasons why they should never seriously date a single mum.
TikTok channel @realtalkmiami ran by Myron Gaines posts videos offering relationship advice to men, including topics ranging from 'Why Your Girl Belongs To The Streets' to 'Why She Really Wants You As A Friend'.
However, his now viral video titled '3 Reasons You Should NOT Seriously Date A Single Mom' has outraged TikTok users, and has been watched over 56,000 times.
The 'dating expert' in question says: "Guys, simply put, you're never going to come first, the kid's always going to come first. Which is fine, that's the way it should be, but understand you're always going to take a back seat.

"Second, it's not your kid so you can't discipline them and on top of that she can take them away from you at any time if you guys break up, and you have zero right to them.
"And then finally, you have to pay for another man's responsibility.
"Guys, single mums; recreational use only. Protect yourself and your wallet. Peace."
People were puzzled by his advice, with some viewers wondering whether the video was intended to be satire. "This is satire right? Tell me it's satire there can't really be men that think this way right?!" one person said.

Even more women were offended by his 'recreational use only' point, with one woman writing, "this is trash. If you talk like this on a public platform, it terrifies me to think of what you do in private."
Another said: "'Recreational use only'? Say you don't respect women without saying you don't respect women."
"Did you really confidently say without guilt 'recreational use only'," another woman asked. "There is so much more to people [you're] missing."
"As a single mom I'll take the opportunity to say... that's cool bro we don't play with boys." wrote a fourth woman.

Several mums took to the comments section to refute @realtalkmiami's points by discussing how their partners discipline their step-children. "My fiancé disciplines my daughter, she's not his but she's treated like she is," one person wrote. "I expect him to discipline her. He's a REAL man though."
Women who were raised by their step-dad also took to the comments section to call out @realtalkmiami, with one woman sharing: "It takes a real man to take on someone else's child, my stepdad was more of a dad to me than my real dad!"
