There's only one week to go until Christmas Day and Santa probably has his naughty and nice lists set in stone by now. We know what you're wondering, who is on the naughty list and who is on the nice list?

After sharing their list of the top baby names of 2020, the experts at BabyCentre have compiled a list of baby names they think will be on each of Santa's lists this year.

Speaking to Fabulous, BabyCentre shared how they compiled the 10 naughty and nice list names by looking through a bunch of popular books, movies and mythology.

The boy's name at the top of the naughty list was Henry, which has German roots and means "ruler". They said: "They said: "Has the power got to Henry's head? Its naughty nature was highlighted in Francesca Simon's Horrid Henry books in which the protagonist, Henry, is known for his mischievous ways."

The boy's name in second place is Adam, thanks to its biblical origins. In fourth place is Flynn, a reference to the hit Disney animated film Tangled and Kevin rounded out the top 10 thanks to the trickster in Home Alone.

For girls, Violet topped the naughty list for girls, due to the character from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Keeping within the theme for names inspired by classic Roald Dahl characters, Matilda landed in third place. Violet was followed by Anastasia, who was one of Cinderella's mean step-sisters.

On Santa's nice list, you can expect to find Oliver, the name that topped the boy's list. The name is derived from the Latin term for olive tree. Finn was in second place and Theodore in third. Three names in the top 10 for boys on Santa's nice list are derived from Hebrew; Noah, which means 'peaceful' and 'comfort', Asher, meaning 'fortune, blessed and happy' and Isaac, which means 'laughter'.

Having the same name as Saint Nicholas seems to help you land on Santa's nice list, Nicholas is number six.

For the girls, the French named Esme landed in first place on Santa's nice list. The name means 'esteemed' and 'beloved'. Hermione and Mona completed the top three. Sophie, the name of the brave heroine from Roald Dahl's The BFG landed at number eight.
