Lockdown may not have us looking or feeling our finest, so if we're offered a chance to have a makeover, we'll take it.
However, Kayleigh Cook was left less than impressed when her nine-year-old daughter Maisy begged to do her make-up - but ended up using glue and glitter instead of foundation.
The 29-year-old from Tyne and Wear was putting Maisy to bed when she reluctantly agreed to have her make-up done by her daughter.
As Kayleigh lay back to receive a fancy new look, she didn't think much of it when her face felt wet, thinking that Maisy was just layering on blusher and foundation.
However, when she admired her daughter's handiwork in the mirror, she realised her little one had used fast-acting eyelash glue to apply heaps of glitter to her face.
The full-time mum tried to get the glitter off her face with a number of make-up wipes, but was left "sparkling like a unicorn" the following day.
Jokingly comparing herself to Edward Cullen from the Twilight franchise, Kayleigh said: "I don't think Maisy will be a beautician anytime soon.
"Normally I let her [do my makeup] because it's not that bad. I've been in some states but never like that.
"I used baby wipes, washed my face, make up remover to get it off. I was trying anything I could.
"The glue was all stuck to my face. I can't use soap on my face as I come out with lots of spots, but I was there with baby wipes rubbing and rubbing while on Facetime to my friend.
"She definitely won't be trusted with makeovers in the future!"
Maisy's make-up requests are usually a ploy to try and delay bedtime, Kayleigh explains.
"After she'd finished, she said 'look mam - I've made you all sparkly'. She was laughing and loving it," she said.
"She thought it was so funny - she was very amused with herself.
"My eyes were so glittery. Then she put the Fruit Shoot bottle on my head and called me a unicorn.
"I took the pictures in the dark to show how much glitter was on my face.
"Maisy knew what she was doing, without a doubt. She knew exactly what I was doing."
"She was really pushing to stay up late.
"She wouldn't help me get it off. She went to bed and said 'mam, you've got to go to sleep like that'.
"It's impossible to get it off. I've got most of it off but I'm still a little glittery."
However, Kayleigh took the glittery new look in her stride, as she's used to Maisy's unorthodox approach to beauty.
"I have a photo where she's drawn my eyebrows on. She's in the background loving life," she explained.
"There's another time I went into labour and she'd only painted one toenail. I went into labour early and had to go in with one toenail painted."
