Woman Transforms Garden Into Epic Outdoor Cinema For Her Family

Woman Transforms Garden Into Epic Outdoor Cinema For Her Family

Having your birthday during the coronavirus pandemic can be a bit of a let down, but one woman managed to organise a trip to the cinema for her family without even leaving the house.

To celebrate her grandson's Isaac's birthday, Sara Dacombe created an incredible outdoor cinema, using just a projector and a projector screen she had bought online.

Although Sara opted for a screen, a plain white sheet can also be used to create the same effect.

Speaking to Tyla, she explained: "My grandson's original birthday party was cancelled, but we still wanted to make sure it was a magical day.

"So, we decided to make an outdoor cinema using a projector and screen that we brought from eBay.

"To make it feel even more like the cinema we had a sweet cart, popcorn, nachos and hot dogs."

In the original post, which she shared on Facebook's Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group, Sara explained it was a "cheap way for a lockdown birthday cinema" as well as adding a link to the projector, which you can find on eBay here.

The post has since had thousands of comments from others wanting to try the idea, with several taking to the comments section to explain a white sheet also works in place of a screen.

In a photo of the outdoor cinema, the family can be seen gathered around the projector, with blankets spread out across the grass as well as cushions and pillows for extra comfort.

Add to make it extra authentic, they even had a sweet cart and popcorn, with other snacks including pizza and nachos.

The garden itself was decorated beautifully, with hanging lights from The Range. Even the dog can be seen getting involved in film night!

And little Isaac looked like he was having the best time ever, sporting a huge grin as he tucked into his snacks.

We are *so* stealing this idea...
