Planning on walking down the aisle in the next 12 months? If so, you're in luck as 2020 is apparently a very good year to say, 'I do'.

According to astrologer Carolyne Faulkner, there's one date in particular couples should consider getting married on next year, in a bid to build a long-lasting partnership, and that is Thursday, 20th February 2020.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan, the founder of Dynamic Astrology said that there were several positive astrological meanings behind the date 20/02/20.

"In numerology the number two signifies the stoic and powerful female, who bows her head with humility and grace, yet has unparalleled resolve and strength," she shared.

"In astrology number two marks the house of Taurus, and as a sign it is ruled by Venus - the goddess of love and beauty, representing patience, tenacity and a dedication to remain loyal and work hard to build an incredible, lasting union."

For the star-grazers among us, Carolyne explained how the "alignment of planets" next year make 2020 the perfect year for making a long-term commitment to your other half.

She added: "Couples who choose to say, 'I do' under this astrological phase are very likely to have been in karmic unions many times over, in many other lifetimes; but this life is the one where they may just get it right."

And while 20/02/20 has a quirky ring to it, Bridebook.co.uk's 2019 wedding report found that only 3 per cent of weddings took place in February, 2018.

Chatting to PRETTY 52, Hamish Shephard, found of Bridebook.co.uk, said that August remained the most popular month for couples (21 per cent) to walk down the aisles while two thirds (63 per cent) of all nuptials last year happened between June and September.

Although February doesn't seem so idyllic now, he told us: "There are savings to be made. The average spent on weddings during the month of February was lower than any other month last year, at £14,250.

"20th February, 2020 being a Thursday does conform with recent findings that 47 per cent of weddings were held on a day other than Saturday (up from 44 per cent the previous year).

Adding: "Savvy venues and suppliers are offering more weekday and Winter wedding packages, which has led to more choice and better deals for couples looking to marry in February."

But if you're looking for a deal, the stars are aligning nicely for February.
