A US not-for-profit that works to find foster kids permanent homes has been sharing its success stories online - and has officially turned us into emotional wrecks.

Together We Rise was set up in 2008 by a group of college students, and provides support for children in the foster care system, "forgotten and often neglected by the public".

The organisation works on building their confidence and providing learning activities in a bid to help them finally find their forever homes.

And they have has been sharing their successes on their Instagram page, posting heartwarming pictures of kids on the day they've been adopted and families as they learn they're gaining a member.

We're not crying, you are.

The snaps show children on the day of their adoption, alongside boards sharing sweet messages about their journeys.

And honestly, the smiles on their faces are enough to melt even the coldest of hearts.

In one snap, a brother and sister duo stand next to a board which reads: "After 667 days in foster care today we are adopted".

While another shows a little girl running to her new family, and reads: "Today I'm adopted and get to grow up with my brother".

A third says: "618 days in foster care but today is my forever".

While a fourth sweet picture shows three beaming children who have been collectively in care for a total of 1071 days, after they just discovered they had been adopted together.

Their delighted mother Shannon gushed: "We are over the moon. The moment we met them we knew they were supposed to be part of our family."

The Together We Rise website explains: "The foster care system can be a confusing and sometimes disheartening place, but through our fundraising and network of passionate volunteers, we strive to give foster children a brighter future, a sense of normalcy and belonging...

"We strive to be the helping hand that foster youth need so that they may go confidently onto their futures."

Speaking to Forbes about the organisation - which does everything from provide kids suitcases to travel from home-to-home to working hands on with social workers and even funding college classes - COO Gianna Dahlia revealed the movement was only getting bigger.

"When I first joined Together We Rise we helped about 500 to 1,000 kids a year. Now, seven years later, we're helping over 100,000 a year," she said.

What an amazing cause.
