A woman has received a slew of praise after being bodyshamed by a mum on the beach.

Savannah Sims (@savysimsyo) took to TikTok to recount her experience while wearing a bikini on a Hawaiian beach recently, sharing that a woman had taken offence to her choice of clothing and called her out on it.

Take a look at Savannah's video below:

In the clip, Savannah points out that she was sunbathing when the woman chastised her for her choice of bikini, saying she could see her bum.

"So I just had the worst experience in Hawaii on the big island," Savannah explained.

"I lay down at a spot right off the road and this family got out of their car and sit down kind of close to me and the mom starts saying to her boyfriend 'No I can't have that. That's not OK with me'.

"So I look up and she's looking at me, so I ask if there's an issue, and she says she doesn't want to be seeing my butt and lady parts."

Savannah then showed the full bikini she was wearing, explaining that it was a standard bikini, before adding that she had then asked what the woman wanted her to do.

"She just said she wanted me to leave. I was in her way."

Savannah then got up to leave, as the lady was with a child and admitted the whole experience had "ruined her day".

In a second video posted on the same day, Savannah added that the lady who complained was herself wearing a thong bikini, which covered far less than Savannah's.

"Which is totally fine, I wear those all the time. But to call me out and then take off your skirt and be rocking a G-string. Either she's a hypocrite, or it wasn't about what I was wearing."

Savannah's video, which she posted to the video sharing app, has already received a huge 989,000 views and over 4,000 comments, many of which are in support of Savannah's handling of the situation.

"I live on Maui and I've never had an issue with anyone or anything," said one commenter.

"Don't let one bad apple ruin your vision," said another, "there's a lot of Aloha on the islands."

Another commented: "You should have stayed, put your earphones in and ignored her."
