With Christmas just around the corner, kids are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa and his reindeers - and now, they'll actually be able to see Father Christmas's noble steed in their own home.
McDonald's Reindeer Ready Live app was launched to huge success last year - so much so it's returned for 2019.

Available to download from today, the app allows parents to capture footage of one of Santa's reindeer's tucking into some carrots on Christmas Eve, set to the backdrop of their own front room.
To use, you simply have to download the app on the Android or Apple App Store on your phone or iPad.
Once you're set up, click 'Get Started' and then 'I'm Ready'. Simply take a photo of your living room (preferably somewhere where Rudolf's carrots would be left), or choose one already on your phone.

Next, you'll see the life-like reindeer superimposed on your image, and you can choose if you'd like to flip his position too.
You then just have to wait 30 seconds or so for the video to be processed, and voila! You have a video of a reindeer in your ACTUAL home.
Show this 'secret camera' footage to your kids and you'll certainly be keeping the magic alive.

The app goes alongside McDonald's #ReindeerReady campaign which has seen the fast food restaurant chain give away 500,000 free Archie The Reindeer books coinciding with its Christmas advert.
The Christmas advert follows the story of a little girl called Ellie and her pet reindeer Archie. The little girl wanted to play 'reindeers' with her older sister Jenny who slams the door in her face.
Upset, Ellie walks out into the garden where she meets Archie the reindeer, who cheers her up playing games with her.

We later discover Archie is in fact the family dog dressed up as a reindeer, as older sister Jenny comes round to playing with her little sister in the spirit of Christmas.
Reindeer Ready Live is available to download from Apple or Android app stores from Wednesday 18th December.
