Pretty Little Thing Praised After Featuring First Hijabi Model On Site
Pretty Little Thing has been heaped with praise for featuring a Hijabi model on site.
From ASOS featuring disabled models to Missguided including mannequins with vitiligo, stretch marks and freckles in recent years we've seen many fashion sites and physical stores putting in essential work in order to be more inclusive.
Now, Pretty Little Thing has featured model Billy Marsal in its Modest Clothing Edit (which you can find here) - a new section of the UK site, which has launched following a successful debut in the Middle East.
Taking to Twitter, Billy shared some screenshots of herself on site, and wrote: "Soooo... that's me. THE FIRST HIJABI ON PLT!!! Still so wild to me".

Speaking on what inspired the Modest Clothing Edit, PLT told Tyla: "Following our successful launch into the Middle East we are delighted to be launching our 'Modest clothing' collection on site.
"Our ethos of 'EveryBODYinPLT is extremely important to us, so it's been amazing seeing such positive customer feedback and working with models who represent all of our customer base."
Here's to hoping PLT and all other brands continue to work on their diversity. We love to see it.
