A parent's extensive and particular list of requirements has gone viral after their demands were described as 'delusional'.

The original advert was posted on Facebook, and it was then shared to Reddit where users were left amazed at the parent's requests for babysitters to have nine year experience, be on call 24/7 and be a Trump fan.

Posted in a thread named Delusional Babysitter Requirements the list attracted more than 1000 comments.

Obviously, when you are choosing a babysitter for your child you are allowed to be a bit picky but sometimes you can't have everything you want.

This parent in particular was looking for someone to look after their five-year-old, three-year-old and their baby.

Rather than opting for a 13-year-old school child who is looking for some extra money this parent is looking for someone with a bachelor's degree in childcare or nine years relevant babysitting experience.

The list of 14 requirements continues as the parent requests that the ideal candidate should have no tattoos, not drink alcohol and have no sketchy social media behaviour or public pictures.

One of the more enjoyable requirements is that the sitter must be a dog lover and comfortable with the family's two Pit Bulls.

It seems the parent also wants you to be a teacher too as they ask for the successful candidate to be able to speak a second language so they can pass it onto the children.

Oh and you need to be available 24/7 so must be willing to dedicate all of your time to the family including weekends.

One reasonable request is that the sitter should have no problems with the law which is probably high on a lot of parents' list of requirements.

However, the parent contradicts this by suggesting the babysitter evades paying tax by paying them 'under the table'.

Despite the candidate having to offer a number of services which are definitely beyond basic childcare, the advert says the family are only willing to pay $10 (£7.86) an hour for their time.

Reddit users were amazed at the list of requirements, with one user commenting: "Nine years' experience is very specific!"

Another added: "$10 an hour I will come over to watch your TV and eat your snacks. Expect to return to alive children.... that's it."
