Woman Shares Selfie But Doesn't Spot Boyfriend Wiping His Bum In The Background

Woman Shares Selfie But Doesn't Spot Boyfriend Wiping His Bum In The Background

This is too funny.

Rule 101 of selfie-taking is that you should meticulously scan the background before you post it.

It can sometimes be easy to focus on the main subject (especially if it's having a particularly good hair/body/outfit day) and overlook the incriminating objects lurking in the background.

You'd be surprised how easy it is to accidentally scan over some thrush cream on your bathroom shelf, your mate's jacket you borrowed well over a year ago hanging up behind you, or even some lube in a selfie sent to your parents.

But spare a thought for Shannon Butt, from Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, who went one step further by failing to notice her boyfriend's bare a**e in the back of her mirror selfie.

Shannon had been feeling her look so decided to post a quick snap to the 'gram (

Yes, the 22-year-old had been happily snapping away in her boyfriend Henry's bathroom, when she decided to upload one of her pics to the 'gram.

It was more than half an hour later that she checked her phone to see how she was doing for likes, when she noticed her epic error: her boyfriend wiping his bum had been caught in the reflection of the mirror.

Shannon deleted the photo quickly, but then sent it to her group of girl mates who convinced her to post the ordeal on Twitter.

"As if I had this photo up on my insta for 37 minutes before noticing that my boyfriend is literally WIPING HIS ARSE in the mirror behind me, sound asf x," she wrote hilariously alongside the photo.

The tweet has so far been liked over 123,000 times with people loving the hilarious gaff.

Shannon told LADbible: "So I was taking selfies in my boyfriend's bathroom and he comes in and I told him that I'm taking pictures. He literally didn't care at all and carried on and went to the toilet, so I just continued taking pictures not really paying attention.

"I left them on my phone for a few days and then looked back and thought 'I'll upload that it's actually quite nice'. I obviously didn't realise he was in the mirror and left it up on Instagram for about 40 minutes.

"I got in my car and just thought I'll check the likes and glanced at the mirror and noticed the reflection - I was with my sister at the time and we both just started crying with laughter and I deleted it not thinking anything of it.

"I then sent it in the group chat and my friends were like 'you have to tweet that it's hilarious'. Both Henry, my boyfriend, and I found it absolutely hilarious and I asked him if he'd be happy for me to put it up and he said yeah it's funny go for it, neither of us expecting it to blow up this much!

"I'm so surprised by the reaction but I think it's hilarious."

We're howling.

Note to self: ALWAYS check the background.
