You Can Now Do High School Musical Dance Workouts At Home

You Can Now Do High School Musical Dance Workouts At Home

Sometimes, it can be hard to find the motivation to work out. But having something fun - that you actually enjoy - really helps. Which is why we're so excited that High School Musical workouts are actually a thing!

We think this is the most fun we've ever had while doing HIIT?!

Created by PT and fitness instructor, Emily (aka emkfit on YouTube), the HSM HIIT sessions are so much fun - and they're really simple to follow.

You can check one out below:

Emily has heaps of different High School Musical workouts, with music from all three movies. In the workouts, she uses just a few different moves and has a 'fake it till you make it' attitude - meaning as long as you're sweating, moving and dancing, it really doesn't have to be perfect!

"I don't care if you're the most un-coordinated person on the planet, anyone can do these workout!" explained Emily.

Each workout lasts around 12-13 minutes and begins with a warm up, followed by a couple of HIIT moves per HSM track. There's also a part one and part two so if you fancy getting in an extra long workout, you can.

Emily promises "no planks, no burpees, we're dancing our butts off and looking like idiots". Now that's the kind of workout we can get on board with!

Once you've made your way through the HSM videos - fear not. Emily creates heaps of other workouts to other films - including a Shrek version, which we're obsessed with, and a Mama Mia! workout, too.

There's also a selection of different pop-themed workouts, such as One Direction HIIT, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears and Destiny's Child.

And subscribers are obsessed with the videos. One person commented: "Either I'm out of shape or getcha head in the game was the HARDEST THING IVE EVER DONE."

While another said: "Thank you Emily for making working out something I look forward to and plan my week around!"

"I just finished it and I am dripping with sweat and happiness!" said a third. "I don't know about anyone else, but when I am tired I pretend I am auditioning for Disney and get so much more energy to keep going! Fake it until you make it FOREVER."

We're so glad we've found these in time for lockdown!
