Huge New £37million Theme Park Is Opening This Weekend And It Looks Incred
A brand new £37 million theme park is opening its gates to the public this weekend - and it looks like the stuff of adrenaline junkie dreams.
Complete with giant water slides, life-size dinosaurs and rides galore, Gulliver's Valley - which is located in South Yorkshire - will welcome punters from Saturday 11th July.
The sight is spread across a whopping 250 acres of green space, close to the Rother Valley Country Park and a short hop across the border from Sheffield.
There are 26 rides spread across the park in total, designed for a range of ages from two years upward.
As you might have guessed, there's a big dino theme going on. Expect to be washed away down the T-Rex Tower water slide and get lost on the Lost World River Tour.
Added to that, there are indoor and outdoor themed play areas where little ones can let loose, including a Smuggler's Wharf, Western World and mini Gully Town Grand Prix.
Parents, meanwhile, can kick back in one of the onsite seating areas or enjoy a meal in one of the two onsite restaurants.
If you prefer to snack-and-go, there are refreshment kiosks dotted around the park.
With 50 fun-filled attractions throughout the park, the new site is the ideal spot for a post-lockdown day out with the whole family.
To ensure the safety for staff and visitors, a number of COVID-preventative measures will be in place.
Two hand sanitiser stations are installed in each area along with wash stations for children who have sensitive skin.
There will also be a rigorous cleaning programmes and social distancing measures in place across the site.
Talking about the grand opening, Julie Dalton, Managing Director at Gulliver's Valley, said: "From bigger rides through to smaller rides, we are caring for that family market. Everything has been thought out so the whole family can enjoy their visit."
"The prime reason for choosing South Yorkshire was because of the people. What we saw when we came here is it is a really friendly group of people."
"We think they are going to be able to give world class service."
