Dog lovers, 2020 is shaping up to be a big year.

Having just shared news of London's upcoming pop-up café for cockapoos and Frenchies, it's now time to talk about - whisper it - a festival devoted entirely to dogs.

Dogstival, dedicated to all things canine, will set up camp in the leafy surroundings of Pylewell Park Estate, New Forest for its second edition from 16th to 17th May.

There's glamping. There's a fire-leaping dog show. There's a pooch-themed pub. Basically, it's Glasto for your pooches.

For starters, there's the beautiful site, which really is pooch heaven.

Whether you and your furry pal want to spend your days roaming the prettily landscaped grounds and drinking in the sea views, or learning new tricks with a dog behaviour expert, it's all on offer.

At the end of the day, dogs and their owners can cosy up with a hot drink next to the campfire and order a fresh pizza from the pop-up pizzeria.

After all that excitement, Dogstival goers can get a solid night's kip in one of the many dog-friendly glamping and camping sites. There's also the option to pitch your own tent.

What other activities are on the menu, I hear you ask?

Grab refreshments at the Dogstival's Dog Pub

Have a quick rest-stop at the festival's dog-themed pub and let your pooch enjoy a range of dog-appropriate refreshments and snacks.

Kick back in the K9 Chill Out Zone

At this peaceful area by the lake, surrounded by woodland, dogs can enjoy a grooming session, massage or simply relax by the water. Dreamy.

Catch a display show at the Dogstival Main Arena

The equivalent of Glasto's Pyramid Stage, with dog displays and live shows all day. Catch the Hants Fire & Rescue Dogs leaping through rings of fire, watch BBC's Barking Hour presenter Anna Webb showcase the fanciest rare breeds, or meet the UK's leading therapy and assistance dogs, like those at Essex Dog Display team.

Train up your pooch at the Dog House Behavioural Stage

Got a question about your dog's behaviour? The experts at the Dog House Stage are on hand with tips and tricks, offering advice on everything from separation anxiety to diet and exercise.

Festival-goers can let their pets enjoy a splash at the K9 Aqua Sports Pool (

Treat your pupper to a dip in the Pool

Every dog loves a good splash, and at Dogstival there's a dedicated pool for them to do just that, meaning you don't have to worry about your boisterous pup disturbing any swimmers in the process.

Teach Lassie new skills in the Have-A-Go Area

Lure racing. Scurries. Flyball. In the Have-A-Go arena, doggos can learn new skills with high-energy games, make friends and generally let off steam.
