A clever dog made a huge voyage back to her old home after her family moved out, because she missed her favourite spot on the front porch.
Labrador Cleo, four, left her owners concerned earlier this month when she went missing from their new home in Olath, Missouri.
However, the pooch was discovered by the new residents in her old house nearly 60 miles away in Lawson, Missouri, sitting in the very same spot she used to frequent when she lived there.
Check out the unbelievable story in the video below:
The new home owner, Colton Michael, said his wife Britney was first to spot Cleo on their porch, but originally they had no idea who she belonged to.
They told KMBC that the pup seemed nervous when they first approached her.
"She wound't let us quite come near her," Colton said.
When they took her to the vet to get her microchip checked, they discovered that her owners used to own their property.
"Britney said, 'That's the people that used to live here'," he then recalled.
The family then reached out to Cleo's family, who were in shock to learn that their pup had walked 57 miles, and even made a journey across a river to get back to the property.
"It's a mystery...something we will probably never know," Colton said.
Meanwhile, Cleo's owner, Drew, told the station: "It's the most bizarre story.
"Really, she's everything to us and my mother...It just feels good to be reunited with her."
The good news is that if Cleo ever makes the arduous journey again, the Michael family will be able to return her safely.
Colton concluded: "Now that we know who she belongs to, if she pops up again, we know who to call."
What a savvy doggo!
Seems like we're not the only ones who will stop at nothing for the perfect sunbathing spot, eh Cleo?!
