Dog Ends Up Looking Like Alpaca After Biting Dog Groomer During Trim
But one pooch's diva moment landed him in some hairy hot water when he ended up with a half-finished alpaca-like 'do after his first trip back to the groomers.
Owner Lisa Torres was first alerted to the incident when she got a call from her groomers in Deptford, New Jersey, US, asking her to pick up her shih tzu-poodle cross, Cheddar early.
While luckily, eight-year-old Cheddar hadn't caused any harm, it was still enough for the groomer to call the haircut off and leave the pooch's head entirely uncut.
While Lisa, 39, was left embarrassed by the ordeal, she laughed as she said Cheddar appeared pretty please with his new 'do.
Sharing photos of her furry friend's looking smug on her car seat on Facebook, Lisa's post soon racked up over 250,000 likes with people sharing in the hilarity of it all.
"When I got the call I chuckled a little and thought 'oh my god, I'm on my way to pick up a lion', and when I get there it's the funniest thing in the world," said Lisa.
"I walk into the store and I'm completely embarrassed, like 'he's not my dog, he's a rescue dog, don't think he's mine'.
"Because they blow dried it and everything, he was like a big poof and it was completely unexpected.
"The groomer apologised and asked if I wanted to try [again], but I said 'no, it's okay, we can just go' and I completely understood because I wouldn't want to be carrying on after I got bit.

"When I got into the car I just found it hilarious because he was sort of looking at me like 'what's wrong mum, this is what I was going for'.
"I called my boyfriend and told him 'I have tears in my eyes, my stomach is hurting and I can't even pull off because Cheddar is sitting here like he's cool but he's not, he looks crazy'.
"Now he walks around the house like, 'this is what I wanted and I don't know what the problem is'."
The SASS of Cheddar.
Lisa - who lives with her three children, Brandon Torres, 19, Anthony Torres, 16 and Christopher Torres, 13 - said her family couldn't stop laughing when she brought her naughty doggo home.
"He's adorable, but at the same time he knows what he wants, because he loves to be petted but only when he wants to be," she explained.
"He'll be like 'I'm not in the mood today, so don't touch me' and give a little grrr. He's sassy.
"But maybe it was the mask that kind of scared him, because they did have to have a mask on."
The sassy pooch now has his own Instagram account, @Cheddar_Torres, to show off his new look.
Note to self: don't have a Mariah Carey moment in the hairdressers, no mater how much your lockdown locks are getting you down.
