An Open-Air Dog Café Is Coming To The UK

If you and your pooch are due a bit of one-on-one bonding time that isn't your usual lap round the park, why not treat them to a doggy day out at the a Pupuccino Bar and Open Air Dog Café?

The world's first of its kind, the dog-friendly bar and cafe will be opening for one day only on the Riverside at The Oracle in Reading from Saturday 12th September between 9am and 6pm.

The event is being set on by the brains behind the wildly popular Pug Café and they're inviting owners to bring their furry friends along to enjoy a pupuccino and some snacks - all socially distanced of course.

There'll be a menu-full of sweet treats for your dog to enjoy such as pupcakes, dognuts, heart bake-scotti, cookie lollipups, pawty rings, pupcorn sprinkles, jammy doggers and doggy jazzies.

Beside the open air dog café there'll be The Crafty Dog Co stall where you can shop for cute and quirky dog harnesses, collars and accessories for your pooch.

What's more, there'll be loads of great photo opps and a competition running all day where the best Instagram photo or TikTok of your dog enjoying the cafe uploaded will win a shopping voucher.

The organisers note "all well-behaved pooches are welcome" as long as they are vaccinated, well socialised, friendly and kept on their lead at all times.

Not allowed is leaving behind dog mess, taking your dog *inside* The Oracle and bringing along aggressive dogs, with them noting "if they harm another dog or person it will be your liability".

Also, if you don't own a dog yourself but would still love to come along for all the doggy action - you're more than welcome.

Pug Cafe state: "No dog? No problem! The Riverside will be open to all shoppers on the day so if you fancy coming and seeing a host of dogs of all shapes and sizes then come along!

"Just remember to keep socially distanced and avoid petting other people's dogs - no matter how cute."
