This Map Shows You All Of Britain’s Open Public Toilets

This is a very important document, if you ask us.

It's all well and good going for a socially distanced afternoon in the park, perhaps with a picnic and a bottle of prosecco to celebrate being able to see our friends again.

But what do you do when you inevitably need the loo?! After all, many public toilets are still currently closed.

Well, fear not, because two brothers have created Lockdown Loo - an interactive map of every public toilet in the UK that's currently open. We are *so* impressed.

The interactive map features public toilets across the UK (
Lockdown Loos)

Created by brothers Thomas and Charlie Riley, the map features every 'loocation' available, giving people the opportunity to enjoy their time outdoors without worrying about where they'll be able to wee.

It includes public toilets that are open, as well as toilets within service stations or train stations and businesses that also have toilets available to use.

From Scotland to Cornwall, they've now listed over 2,000 loos.

There are thousands of loos on the map (

The idea is if you come across a public toilet that's open and it's not on the map - submit it to Lockdown Loo so it can be added to the map.

"This website is only as useful as the information we are supplied," they explain.

"If you know of toilets which are open - whether they are at pubs, stations, cafes or in a public park - please SUBMIT them. We are also monitoring council updates and speaking to businesses."

If you want to submit, all you need to do is answer a couple of questions, such as where it is, as well as a brief description (How many toilets are available? Did you have to wait long? Are they clean and socially distanced? Do you know the opening hours?)

You'll also be asked if there's disabled access and if there are any extra facilities, for example baby changing units. We'd also really like to know if there's toilet paper available, FYI.

Lockdown Loo also has a very active Twitter page, which you can follow for updates.

And they've been posting some pretty funny tweets. Earlier this week, they explained they'd been getting a number of requests for direct, one to one advice.

"Quite a few people using our form asking things like: 'Brighton. Need no.2, where do I go??'" They tweeted.

"Really feel for you but we cant do 1-2-1 service, sorry. Use the map. And if toilets aren't there, submit ones you know or share with your mates who might."

We are literally going to be using this every time we leave the house from now on...
