Imagine receiving a wedding invitation, and getting a diet plan, too?! Even worse, imagine it coming from your own family member.

Well, that's exactly what happened to one pregnant woman, who received a 30-day diet plan - along with an invitation - from her sister-in-law.

The woman's husband, took to an anonymous 'AITA' Reddit thread to discuss what had happened, explaining his sister was due to get married in two months and had just sent out the invites.

But he was left speechless when his pregnant wife handed him their invite nearly in tears.

"She came to me and handed me the envelope and she looked so upset almost crying," he said.

"I opened it and found that my sister sent a 30-day pre-wedding diet plan. I don't know whose idea this is or who made this plan but it's awful.

"Literally the worst thing I've seen in a while. My sister basically wanted my wife (my wife's pregnant btw) to lose weight by following this diet so she could look 'fit' at the wedding.

"Some of those 'meals' my wife is allergic to. My wife isn't even one of my sister's bridesmaids for Christ's sake."

After confronting his sister about the insulting invitation, the bride accused her brother of trying to ruin her wedding day.

"I argued with her and after she berated me for objecting her 'plan' and said I was trying to ruin her day," he said.

"I told her we're not coming and that I threw the invitation in the trash bin."

Shockingly, the bride's mum told her son to be more supportive over his sister's bizarre wishes, explaining everyone had received a copy of the plan.

"I reminded her that my wife is pregnant but she said I was making a big deal out of it causing drama and refusing to go with the flow. We argued for 30 minutes then I hung up," he explained.

The man then went on to ask advice from other Reddit users, asking if he was in the wrong.

But they were firmly on his side, with one commenting: "Who the hell demands someone else go on a diet to attend a f****** wedding?"

While another added: "You could send your sister a 30 day pre-wedding personality repair plan."

This is utterly ludicrous!
