Kelly and Billy Bleach simply had to have their pet animals involved in their big day.

We thought we loved animals, but it appears not as much as one couple who had 12 dogs and two horses at their wedding.

Kelly and Billy Bleach, who run Karebear Kennels in Lidsing, Kent, decided they had to have their beloved animals as part of their special day.

The couple's three-year-old Alaskan Malamute, Zeus, even acted as best man to groom Billy, 31, while each of the six bridesmaids and ushers were paired with a dog.

Kelly, 35, and her husband were escorted to their civil ceremony in Sittingbourne, Kent on horseback on 12th June.

"They were very well behaved and it was lovely having them with us," the bride said of her pets. "We both decided they had to be there. They are my babies."

Zeus, who Kelly says Billy called "his best mate", bared the rings in a ring box around his paw as he walked alongside the groom's second best man, best friend Chaz.

"Zeus just walked up with the best man and Billy said 'give me the ring' when he needed to and he just put up his paw," explained Kelly.

"We did specially train him - they are really clever and he did very well. Everyone went 'that's just so cute'. Everyone said it was the best wedding they had ever been to.

"A lot of people have to leave their dogs went they have to go to work but for us we never have to and it's nice to have them here."

Kelly added: "It was a marvellous day. The animals stayed longer than we thought, especially when they smelled the barbecue, but after a few hours they were taken home."

The animal-loving couple met on dating website Plenty of Fish and became official in late 2015. The pair then got engaged during a holiday to Mexico in November 2018 when a FaceTime home revealed a sign saying 'Will you marry Dad' with the couple's dogs in shot, set up by Billy with help from his family.

The happy couple now have 12 dogs, two miniature ponies, Kelly's horse Spartacus, two goats, two sheep, five cats and ducks and chickens.

What a crew!
