It's official, the heatwave is making us all crazy. We're unable to sleep, in threat of deadly asthma attacks, buying massive flamingo paddling pools, and even publicly planning on bunking off work, it would seem.
Yes, a Facebook page titled "Leave work and go the beer garden, they can't sack all of us" has already gained 17,000 attendees, and we can't lie, it's a mood.
Scheduled for Monday, 19th August, thousands of workers will spill out of offices at 12pm and head for their local boozer to enjoy this glorious sunshine we've been blessed with. This is provided the attendees aren't all mouth, of course.

The sentiment is amazing and possibly fool-proof. It's true, if we ALL leave work to head to the pub, surely we can't all be given the chop? There would be no workers left to keep the wheels of this Great British economy churning.
There is solidarity in numbers, people, and in solidarity, we prevail!
Popular Facebook page The Sesh are the organisers behind the group encouraging workers to fling their papers off their desk and head for the beer garden.
Posts on the group include people tagging their friends with unbridled enthusiasm.

"I have succumbed to beer pressure, so I'm in," wrote one attendee.
"Please can we bring this event forward to today or tomorrow!?," begged another who likely wants to make the most of the record-breaking temps we're expecting.
"What happens when we get to the beer garden and there are no staff to serve drinks because they too have taken the afternoon off?," was an interesting point someone raised.
"As a pub worker myself, how does this work? Do we have to keep working or are we all just gonna walk out and pour our own pints?," another mused.
Either way, we'll see you down the pub.
