An obese border collie called Bopper the Whopper is too overweight to fit into a kennel, an animal shelter has said.
Staff at Gables Farm Dogs and Cats Home in Plymouth were astonished when the dog arrived, weighing nearly eight stone.
Bopper, who is 11 years old, is believed to be the fattest dog in the UK.
He is currently living with the shelter's owners as he is too large to fit in a normal kennel.

Speaking to the BBC, the shelter manager Ruth Rickard said: "I could not believe what I saw when he walked in. I could not believe how huge he was."
Bopper was rescued by the RSPCA after his owners became too unwell to look after him.
The dog, who is twice the size he should be, has now been put on a diet to bring his weight down and he has been put on a strict exercise regime.

The charity has also set up a fundraising page on Just Giving to help cover Bopper's vet bills, as he has been left with numerous health problems.
The owners wrote: "He is suffering from an ear infection and is in need of dental treatment.
"He is also beginning to develop cataracts, has callous formation on his elbows from constantly lying down, as he finds walking painful and very uncomfortable due to his advanced years and sheer size.

"At this extreme weight he is at a very high risk of developing diabetes and will have to have his blood taken regularly to monitor his sugar levels."
They added the dog finds breathing and standing difficult and needs to slim down to enjoy his "retirement years in comfort".
"It is estimated that it will cost the Home over £800 for the ongoing treatment and life time aftercare he needs," they added.
