A woman has used 7,500 coins to redecorate her floor - and it only took her three weeks to complete.

Kelly Graham, 43, from Los Angeles, has created an incredible mosaic style floor in her hallway using just pennies.

The talented jeweller spent £75 ($92) creating the beautiful design, explaining she didn't follow a specific pattern, but incredibly, used an image she had in her mind as inspiration.

The mum-of-two explained: "I've always been a bit eccentric with trying new projects off the cuff, and I remember seeing some penny floors and wanting to take it one step further.

"I am a coin collector, but for this job, I went to the bank to purchase rolls of pennies, to which I sorted out old from new to create the mosaic pattern.

"This took me approximately 3 weeks to complete and it used around 7500 coins to complete."

Despite the amazing finished product, Kelly explained at first, her partner was unconvinced about having a floor covered in coins.

"My partner was not feeling it when I said I was going to do a penny floor," she continued.

"However, when the floor was taking shape, then I was rewarded with a 'okay, I was wrong and you were right.'

"It just flowed from my mind as I went along. No pattern, but what was in my head.

"I was a machinist prior to be a jeweller, and this helped with with being able to gauge the design with close to symmetry as the foyer space would allow."

The images of the floor are breathtaking, featuring a beautiful pattern of different shades of copper.

"The reaction to my work online has been mostly very positive," explained Kelly.

"Any negative reactions were over legality or walking on money felt offensive. We walk on things money was spent on every day. If anything, this was far less expensive than any new flooring."

Anyone else feeling mega inspired?
