With non-essential travel still on hold, many Brits are looking to recreate the holiday experience in their back gardens - and a hot tub from Lidl could be the missing summer ingredient you need.

Yes, you read that right: the supermarket chain has expanded into the world of whirlpool tubs. It's a welcome surprise to us too!

Anyone else already have a vision of themselves marinating in one of these beauties while sipping on a cool glass of bubbly as the sun goes down? We thought so.

Available to buy from Sunday 28th June, the tub fits up to four people and comes with a price tag of £299.

With its 118 dynamic air yet, the inflatable whirlpool tub creates a stream of bubbles with the added benefit of a relaxing massage for your body.

The 1,500W heating power will warm the water to a maximum temperature of 42ºC as you sit back and enjoy a few bevvies amid the bubbles.

As to the technical spec, the design has a power supply of 220-240V, 50Hz and comes with a filter pump 12V / 35W.

The package has everything needed for easy assembly, including a filter cartridge, drain hose adaptor, cable measuring 5.1 metres and combination lock and cover with zip.

Happily, the 700L tub comes with a 2-year warranty.

We're ready to slip into our cosies and hit the tub already - but before we do, here's some hot tub inspo of a different variety.

Pete Simmons, 45, from Buckinghamshire, created an incredible swim up bar for his family in their back garden.

The crafty dad explained that he originally bought a pool for his kids at the start of lockdown. But after a few weeks of begging from his daughters Leah 17, and Ella, 16, Pete upgraded to a hot tub.

But he wasn't finished on the revamp just yet. Back in 2018, Pete had built a small bar in the garden, so he could enjoy some chilled bevvies during the football World Cup.

In lockdown, Pete decided to extend the bar, adding a roof and integrating the hot tub to design the perfect 'swim up bar' experience.

The bar looks so professional, with stools and a parasol, as well as panelling around the tub to hold drinks, suncream, books or whatever else you fancy.

"I had an idea after the kids were hassling me for a hot tub and then I extended the bar with the hot tub enclosure," said Pete.

"Most of the materials were ordered online and delivered but I had to make a couple trips to B&Q and join the queues."

We're so jealous of this hot tub hideaway. Pete, please build one for us?
