Let's be frank, they don’t get them every month so we shouldn’t expect them know every detail about the topic.

Periods. They are what they are and as women we're annoyingly used to them - unfortunately the same can't be said for the male population.

Let's be frank, they don't get them every month so we shouldn't expect them know every detail (though they should know the basics) about the topic.

However, mens' confusion over periods can lead to hilarious results and so is the case with one woman's husband, who mistakenly thought their Minky cloth was a sanitary pad.

To be honest, the cloth, which became hot property after cleanfluencer Mrs Hinch declared it a cleaning must-have, does look a bit strange and albeit the same shape of a sanitary pad so can you blame him for the mix-up?

The cleaning devotee shared a shot of her Minky in Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips group and wrote: "Husband just asked 'why on Earth are we now cleaning the sink down with a heavy flow sanitary pad?!' bless him...."

The post of course gained a lot of traction with fellow Hinchers sharing rib-tickling stories of their other halves suffering the same confusion over Minky cloths and pads.

One member wrote under the post: "So glad mine wasn't the only one that thought that's what it was! He thought that's why it was called minky pad."

"Always wondered why my husband kept putting mine in the basket with all my sanitary products...turned out he thought the same too!" another penned.

A third follower commented: "Mine said exactly the same".

"I did think it looked like one tbh," a Hincher said in the husband's defence, agreeing with his observation. "Almost spat my drink out - he has got a point though!!"

While another group member said she was impressed with his knowledge of sanitary products: "I'm surprised at how clued in he is my husband wouldn't know an ST if he tripped over one."

This tickled us.
