A body oil designed especially for babies has received hundreds of five-star Amazon reviews with parents branding it the "best product ever" and claiming it has "cured" their own skin issues.

Burt's Bees Baby Nourishing Baby Oil, £10.99, has scored high praise from Amazon users who claim it's transformed their children's skin, fixed eczema and even helped to get their babies to fall asleep.

The soothing oil promises to lock in moisture while relieving discomfort from dryness. It can be applied directly to skin after washing or swirled in with bath water.

Made from apricot and grape seed oil, it's 100 per cent natural and rich in antioxidants and vitamins. It's also been formulated without SLS - a foaming ingredient that can often feel drying.

But the elixir hasn't just proved a saviour for little ones. Dozens of shoppers have taken to the site to share the results it's had on their own skin.

While many have delighted in the "lovely glow" it lends their complexion, others have dubbed it "liquid gold" and said it "moisturises like nothing else."

"Best product ever. I swear this has cured so many of my skin issues, I swear it is part magic. Nothing stops itching faster and the smell is very faint and lovely. I use it so much, I even keep some in my car and in my suitcase," wrote one devotee.

"I have been using it on my elbows and arms and after just a few days I have seen a big improvement," agreed another.

It's not the only baby product that's become a surprise hit with adults, too. Last year psoriasis sufferer Kirsty Usher, then 46, from Bristol said Child's Farm Baby Moisturiser, £3.99, cured her condition, giving her the confidence to wear a dress without tights for the first time in 20 years.
