Let this be a warning, kids: home wax with maximum care.

Waxing is for the brave, home-waxing is for the even braver.

Obviously taking your hair removal indoors is a far cheaper option than shelling out at the salon, but it sometimes pays to have a qualified professional do the job for you.

One woman learnt this the hard way when she glued her armpit together with the sticky substance and even ended up having to go to A&E.

Kiera Stirton from Glasgow, attempted some home-waxing to surprise her boyfriend for when he got back from his holiday.

However, forgetting the wax was still wet, Kiera popped her arm back down, as you do, only to find herself in a bit of a disaster when both sides of her armpit stuck together.

She tweeted: "Ano yous are all bored about hearing about me and ma boyfriend but yes he's on holiday so a thought I would suprise [sic] him and wax, forget the wax was wet now my f*cking armpit is glued the gither.

She added that she had to take a trip down to the hospital, writing: "A&E and let's just say my bikini line is getting the good old trusty razor."

Sharing a video of her armpit, she wrote: "HOW DOES THIS EVEN HAPPEN."

Some of her followers panicked thinking the pink wax was actually blood, with one person writing "Kiera I thought that was blood," to which Stirton replied, "So did my mum she was freaking out."

Another followers simply stated "OH MY F*CK" to which Kiera replied: "DONT MATE it's hardened I cannot lift my arm [sic]."

Keira told Jam Press that she is ok now but is left with a small cut on her arm after ripping the wax off.

Sorry Keira, but we can't help but laugh. Let this be a warning, kids: home wax with maximum care.
