A club goer showcased her unique way of getting rid of unwanted attention on a night out, by dislocating her elbow.

Gemma Colclough from Bedfordshire went to Club Cookies in Dunstable with her brother, Scotty, and his friends when she showcased her unique talent to an unknowing punter.

Seated at a table with her pals, the 23-year-old, who has hypermobility syndrome, decided to demonstrate her classic trick and leave a fellow clubber utterly stunned as she dislocated her elbow by bending it in a strange way.

The man, who according to Gemma's brother had asked for a photo before the incident, appeared shocked at what he saw, and unsurprisingly, went running off in the opposite direction.

Gemma's brother, Scotty, who captured the moment said: "Gemma does this trick all the time. She has been able to do it since birth, she's a weirdo."

She said: "I realised I could move my joints because I was the only one in my classroom that could bend in such ways when asking miss a question."

"My doctor tells me it's bad for my joints but I think they're just jealous. I'm a super hero... my power is bendy elbows!"

Proud of her one-of-a-kind ability, Gemma admitted she practises daily in order to get her elbows to bend at different angles.

She said: "I actually practise quite a lot. Maybe twice daily for about 15 minutes a time. Perfection is persistence! My hips and legs are hyper mobile as well but not as much as my elbows."

Gemma often performs her trick out in public to amuse her friends, and it makes for very interesting photos as well.

She said: "It's hard not to do it in public! if you had a super power like mine, you'd use it no? My family and friends think it's a bit weird but normal is boring right?

The Bedfordshire native calls it her 'super power'.
