Mum Of Two Posts Spoof Sexy Photos To Cope With Post-Natal Depression

Mum-of-two, Laura Belbin, posted a photo of herself in her DIY version of the Boohoo Body Bow earlier this month to her Facebook Page, Knee Deep In Life - but the reason why is far more important than just getting laughing emojis and a few-thousand likes.

Laura shared a picture of herself in the barely-decent outfit captioned: "GOOGLE GOALS...BE MY VALENTINE ...

"When it's the night of steaks and blowjobs and you want him to know after all these years you're still trying to keep the spark alive, but he just watched your vagina swallow 4 inches of his dressing gown cord and he's just not that hungry anymore.

"Wonky nipples! They're less like identical twins and more like estranged half sisters who just can't see eye to eye. Shit happens!

"Valentines is overrated anyway..."

But Laura is no stranger to sharing semi-naked photos of herself emulating sultry photos with a very realistic edge.

The mum of two spoke exclusively to Pretty52 to explain the reason behind her self-deprecating snaps: "My blog and Facebook page were born off the back of suffering from crippling postnatal depression which left me contemplating suicide on several occasions.

"I realised as I started healing and growing stronger that the most important thing to me in life was to make people laugh, and empower them to know they're perfectly perfect just the way they are."

She does this by sharing images like this one emulating Kim Kardashian's sexy, cut-out dress using nothing but an old t-shirt and a pair of scissors. With the caption: "GOOGLE GOALS...FASHION...

"When they tell you it's on backwards and you say, BITCH PLEASE!! This is fashion.

"Sometimes it's about accepting budgetary constraints meant you couldn't afford the whole dress, so you just work with what you got and pray your left tit doesn't pop out and start mopping the floor as you make pack lunches."

And these self-deprecating snaps really do seem to help her 400k Facebook followers.

The 'body bow' post received over 17k reactions, 2,500 shares and 4.7k comments.

Laura spoke about her community of followers who she responds to on a daily basis, with many crediting her for cheering them up when they hit rock bottom: "I've been blogging for a little over two years now and the reaction has been incredible, I'm immensely proud of this space taking off the way that it has, purely because it has has been hugely positive, even though it started off the back of something so tragically negative."

So what's next for Laura? She says: "My plan is to continue to make people laugh as much as possible because I have learnt that life truly is too short, it's there to be enjoyed and I'm just pleased I'm helping people believe in themselves a little more."
