Man Tries To Sneak Out During Lockdown By Dressing As A Bush

He even stop, dropped and rolled across the pavement

As the weather heats up and lockdown continues, we're all feeling the strain of quarantine and longing for some time in the great outdoors.

One eccentric resident in Stevenage craved getting back to the natural world so much that he escaped his home by (wait for it) disguising himself as a bush.

Subtle. Reeeal subtle.

Nicholas Murray and Madeline Mai-Davies looked on in amusement and confusion as their neighbour rustled down the driveway dressed head-to-toe in thick green foliage.

For added effect, the neighbour even crawled, tip-toed and stop-drop-rolled across the pavement and over the road, as he made his bid for freedom.

That's some elaborate escape artistry right there. Cue the James Bond theme music.

Nick's video of the hilarious moment promptly went viral, with over 16 million hits.

Talking about the comical incident, Nick said: "Looking back, I didn't expect the video to go that viral and get 16.5 million views."

He added: "Whilst in this difficult time we want to bring smiles, laughs and hope."

Amen to that.

Maddie was blown away by the response to the video. She commented: "I was overwhelmed with the support and following that came from it."

While we're not sure if we'll be taking a leaf out of this kooky escape artist's book, we have to hand it to him - that's one original way to relieve cabin fever.

Need some more feel-good stories in your life during lockdown?

You'll get all the warm fuzzy feels from the tale of a nurse who contracted COVID-19 and was left stunned when Jennifer Aniston popped up during her video interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Kimball Fairbanks, from St. George, Utah, was explaining to show host Jimmy what her 'mild' symptoms of coronavirus felt like, how she was being furloughed for two weeks whilst she recovered and how she was having to keep separated from her kids.

As the pair chatted, Jimmy then said to Kimball: "We wanted to cheer you up a little bit so we'd like you to meet somebody, her name is Jennifer."

He continued: "Jennifer if you're joining us here, please say hello to Kimball".

The Friends star then gatecrashed the video chat screen waving and Kimball looked visibly shocked, barely even able to say hi.

Who can blame her? We'd be speechless if we had a face-to-face call with Rachel Green!
