You know what they say... keep calm and carry on!

While the coronavirus outbreak is proving a trialling time for many, one make-up artist has provided us with some much needed light relief, demonstrating the drastic measures she'd need to take to continue working.

Worried that she wouldn't be able to carrying on doing make up appointments if people were to self quarantine, 35-year-old Tracy Graham joked that she was determined to 'keep calm and carry on.'

So, she had a brainstorm about how she could carry out appointments without coming face to face with her clients, and thought - why not try and use the front door as a barrier?!

Ok, ok... let's make it clear: Tracy knew this wouldn't actually work - but it made a hilarious video.

To test the idea, she wedged a makeup brush in her letterbox and tried to apply makeup to herself - and shared the tongue-in-cheek video of the test online.

Tracy, from Plymouth, Devon, said: "I'm a make up artist and with the coronavirus going around I decided to have a bit of a laugh.

"I got my brushes and put them through the letter box to do makeup on the other side.

"I'd have to avoid contact to not get coronavirus, but this wouldn't really work - I only did it as a bit of a laugh.

"I managed to apply some make up, but I didn't do a very good job - no one would really do it this way."

Tracy runs her own business, named Makeup by Tracy, and said that she isn't too concerned about catching the virus, but is concerned about the impact of self isolating.

Tracy said: "I'm not too worried about catching coronavirus, I guess it would just be like the flu or a bad cold.

"I'm more worried about everything closing - but you've just got to get on with it haven't you?"

Tracy uploaded her video to TikTok, and so far it has received over 10,000 views.

She added: "It's had lots of likes on Facebook and has gone viral on TikTok. It will continue to go up, so far it's at about 10,500 views."

The post comes as the virus was officially labelled a pandemic by the World Health Organisation this week.

Confirmed cases of the Covid-19 are currently topping 125,000 globally, but last night speaking during a press conference, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said scientists believe there are a great number more cases that have gone undiagnosed.

The UK government has now followed many other countries in entering the 'delay' phase of its four-fold plan to tackle the virus.

This means they are now introducing social restriction measures to slow the spread of the virus, such as staying in for seven days if you have a persistent cough, and advising elderly people to avoid cruise ships.
