Ever been eating pasta and thought it could do with a more floral aesthetic? Okay, maybe not. But this new TikTok recipe is making us hungry for it.

Laminating pasta is already an art form but with fresh flowers put in the mix, things just got more tasty and waaaaay more pretty.

This TikTok trend will elevate every pasta dish (

TikTok user @thehungerdiaries came up with the recipe and showed their over one million followers how to create the prettiest pasta ever.

It starts off as your standard laminated pasta process with a flour well filled with eggs, a little bit of olive oil and a pinch of salt. Then the magic happens.

People in the comments were debating if you could even eat flowers (

Fresh flowers and basil are added in between layers and compressed together. The TikTok user chooses a mix of deep burgundies, bright pinks and purples, and classic whites in her petals to create a translucent, botanical dream.

Making it with your hands and a pasta maker might include some elbow grease and hard work but you can see how the internet chef makes the simple masterpiece below.

As you can see, watching her cook it definitely helps in not mixing up "flour" and "flower". But as the TikToker admits: "how crazy gorgeous is this pasta, really though!".

The comments included some scepticism about eating flowers though. One commenter said: "Looks cool but eating flowers ain't it".

The creator of the video encouraged people to try something new and replied to the comment: "Open your mind!"

The TikTok user did a follow-up video showing a simple way to cook the pasta using dried lavender (

And the comments didn't put people off. One user commented: "I don't care what anyone says, it looks cool and I low key wanna try it".

Another said: "This may be the most beautiful dish I've ever seen. I would totally try it. It reminds me of something you would get in a restaurant in Paris".

@thehungerdiaries then created a follow-up video for any followers who were "extra curious" and wanted to see the "fruits of our labour - or should I say, flowers of our labour?".

The video shows them cooking the dish with brown butter, dried lavender and meyer lemon. And some grated parmesan on top, of course.

This is the ultimate garden party in a dish.

Stuffing your face with pasta has never looked so gorgeous.
