When the festive season arrives, we can't help ourselves when it comes to novelty activities, which is why this igloo made from frozen booze has really caught our attention.

Those passing by the frozen structure in Bankside, London were shocked to see people even licking the walls of the igloo.

The 'Ale B&B' is a one-off structure that allows people to hop inside enjoy a bottle of Ice Breaker pale ale and lick the walls made of 1,000 litres of the drink if they so wish.

Tbh, sounds kind of unhygienic - but we're all for the free bottle of beer to celebrate the season.

The unique five foot-high igloo was created by brewery Greene King to celebrate the launch of the new ale, and by the looks of things, people were loving the quirky attraction, that allowed them to sit inside with sleeping bags, hand warmers and scarves to keep cosy whilst they enjoyed a quick beer.

Matt Starbuck, managing director of Greene King, said: "There are a multitude of quirky and unusual B&B stays available in the UK at the moment, but we've never seen a real frozen igloo, particularly one where the walls are made from beer.

"Our Ale B&B is the perfect place to cosy up with a friend or loved one and enjoy an ale-tasting experience like no other...and we can certainly guarantee the coldest beer you'll find in the capital.

"This is the first ale igloo we've launched to date, and we might even roll it out to our pubs up and down the country."

The brewery commented that, if launched, it might even make a great overnight spot for people who are worst for wear and don't fancy getting a cab home at closing time - sounds a great idea if you ask us.

But in the meantime, if you are hoping to try out the igloo for yourselves, you better hurry down to The Anchor Bankside pub in the capital, because once it melts it'll be too late to bag yourself a free Christmas beer, and we wouldn't want that, would we?
