Your Dog Can Get Paid £100 A Month To Be A Pet Food Critic

A dog food brand is looking for pooch ambassadors to test out its new range of products - and they'll pay £100 and free food every month.

ProDog Raw is looking for three Canine Critics to review its new 80:10:10 raw meal range and where do we sign our dogs up?!

All that's required of the four-legged critics is to eat the raw food they're sent, while pet owners will need to take notes on their behaviour and health, observing any changes that result after eating the food.

The job is open to dogs of any age and breed, though dogs with serious underlying conditions are encouraged not to apply.

However, dogs who regularly suffer from flatulence, bad breath and laziness are the perfect candidates for the position, as these are symptoms that raw food can help with.

As well as getting paid for their work, the Canine Critics will also receive 30 days worth of raw meals through the post.

Owners will need to fill out weekly questionnaires, giving feedback on how the raw food affects their pet, noting the dog's general behaviour, temperament and energy levels.

Plus, they'll have to take note of physical factors too, such as the quality of the dog's coat and its stool consistency.

Owners will also be encouraged to keep video diaries, in order to film any notable changes in their dog's behaviour.

Heidi Maskelyne, founder of ProDog Raw, said: "Raw dog food is having a big moment, which is great, but we want to make sure that owners understand and are educated in why raw food is superior to dry, in the long term."

She added: "We think our Canine Critics will help break down the main barrier that is stopping dog owners from making the leap to raw food, and that is the misconception that it is a hassle and not all it's cracked up to be.

"As humans, we're obsessed with what we put in our bodies, and we adore our canine companions, so why wouldn't we be just as obsessed with what they eat?

"Often it takes just one testimonial of a friend's amazing weight loss to get us trying their diet, so we hope the same will happen with our Canine Critic's experience of the raw food diet. I encourage all dogs to apply, in particular the stinky ones!"
