A team of eight adorable sheepdogs have been helping people through difficult times in their hometown of Scalloway in the Shetland Islands.

The mega cute brood - who belong to paramedic, Kaylee Garrick - have been helping hospital patients during recovery - and they even have fans from all over the world.

Kaylee, 29 - who is a student paramedic - began taking pictures of her gorgeous pups to encourage people to visit her local area.

But soon, the photos started to mean so much more, after Kaylee began receiving messages from across the globe, from fans who told her that the snaps had helped them get through a difficult time.

It was then that the paramedic came up with the idea of showing the photos to patients, too.

Kaylee began showing her pups to people who were being taken to hospital in an ambulance and it had a surprising effect on them.

"I began to get messages from people telling me that seeing the dogs had helped them to overcome a difficult time; parents with sick kids wrote saying that the dogs were helping to settle them at night and make them smile," she explained.

"I began using the pictures in the back of the ambulance to help people without even thinking about it - once you've fulfilled the clinical need, what's left is the broken mind and naturally, I had been asking people 'do you have a dog?' before taking out my phone and chatting with them about my crazy lot.

"Often, those who were in distress would then arrive at the hospital laughing saying 'is that us there already?' It's the most fulfilling thing that you can do for someone.

"I like to create pictures which try to tell a story, that way people get transported into them and it allows their imagination to wonder.

"I have started 'Don't Paws, Start CPR' which has already encouraged loads of people to learn a vital life saving skill".
