Lately we've seen all kinds of dog-related events, from runs to brunches. But one company has now gone one step further, by putting on a doggy rave.

It's not just for any old pooches either, this is especially for sausage dogs - a Dachshund Disco if you will.

The event will be held on Sunday 8th March in Shoreditch, London at The Allegory and is being run by Dachshund Cafe, who specialise in all things sausage dog.

Not to worry if you're from a different part of the country, because Dachshund Discos are set to arrive in Newcastle, Southampton and Manchester very soon.

It's the perfect opportunity to treat your doggy pal to a day out, where they can hit the dance floor and disco to Motown tunes, tuck into pawsecco, pose for the puparazzi and meet other fabulous furry friends who look just like them.

They can also pose with their new pals on the love bench as well as for the kiss-me cam. It takes socialising dogs to the next level.

It's of course not just fun for the pooches though. Dachshund owners can chat to other fur-baby owners about their love of the breed and get all the cute cuddles, but dog lovers are welcome to come along too, even if they don't own a Dachshund.

But just to note - no other dog breeds are allowed. This is a VIP or should we say VID event.

Tickets are on sale here and cost £10 if you're bringing a sausage dog, £14 if you aren't. Children aged 16 or under cost £5-£7, whilst kids under six go free. It's a fun family event for everyone - just be sure to bring your dancing shoes.

All you need to do is email to secure your tickets and select a time slot preference between 10am, 12.40pm and 4.40pm.

Included will be a pawsecco or puppucino for your pooch, whilst dog lovers will be given doggy treats so they can be a firm favourite with the pups.

Dog lovers and their families can attend the event without a dog too if they simply want to be around Daschunds (Credit: Anushka Fernando /Dachshund Café)

But if your dog has really worked up an appetite on the doggy dancefloor, pupcakes, doggy donuts and champaws will be for sale, whilst humans can treat themselves to cake, cocktails, lunch and coffee.

Sounds like the perfect party event with a side of puppy love.

What a way to spend a Sunday!

Buy tickets here and keep your eyes peeled for tickets to drop in the next few weeks for Newcastle, Manchester and Southampton.
