Remember Pound Puppies? The classic 80s toys that let you adopt and love a huggably soft pooch?
Well, they're back!
The soft toy dogs were first put out by toy giants Irvin back in 1984, and later by Tonka in 1985.

With their velvety soft floppy ears, big paddy paws and spotty markings, the cuddly pups were a hit.
Each adorable pooch came with its own adoption certificate and name tag, giving proud owners all the bells and whistles associated with rehoming a real-life rescue pup.
Now, authentic reproductions of the 1980s hit toys are back on shelves and waiting to find a good home.
Available to buy from delivery giants Amazon, the Pound Pups come in a variety of colours, breeds and styles.

Think smaller-sized, creamy-coloured new born pups dressed in tiny nappies (aww!) ranging through to the classic 17" models in breeds including Dalmation, Labrador retrievers, bulldogs and poodles.
The full range can also be purchased from Brighton-based toy shop WigWam.
Pound Puppies range in price from £12.95 for new born models through to £26.95 for limited editions.
And don't worry, each pup comes with a full adoption package, just like the old days.

All Pound Pooches are accompanied by a cute heart tag with a space to fill in their name, plus a fact card filled with fun details about your dog.
Then there's the (frankly iconic) packaging. All dogs come in their own dog house and will arrive tucked inside a dinky yellow cardboard kennel with their heads poking out.
The washable toys are conveniently easy to take care of, too.
All that's left to do is pick out your beloved pet pooch.
The soft toys are appropriate for children aged 3 years and up.

We're betting that the return of these snuggly rescue pooches will see a lot of 30-somethings who loved the originals snapping up the reproductions for younger relatives and loved ones.
We want to adopt them all!
