A dog whose puppies tragically passed away has adopted a litter of three orphaned kittens - and the photos are adorable.
German Shepherd mix, Georgia, was discovered by the Sunshine Dog Rescue of Phoenix, Arizona, back in July. When volunteers from the non-profit organisation rescued Georgia - who was pregnant when she was found - they realised she had been surviving merely on scraps.
And tragically, after the pooch was taken in, her puppies were born prematurely and sadly passed away.
Talking about Georgia's reaction to losing her puppies, founder of Sunshine Dog Rescue Anita Osa said: "The best way I could describe it was that she was frantic.

"It was so sad, she was looking for those babies. She tore up the toddler mattress we had her on, trying to find her babies."
But despite the tragedy, two days later Anita decided to introduce Georgia to a litter of orphaned kittens - and she immediately fell in love.
"I introduced the kittens to her gently, I first brought one in and let her sniff it, and she seemed to accept it, so I brought the others out," she said.

"It was amazing to see how Georgia instantly calmed down, and I think for the kittens, they have no idea that she is a dog."
Following Georgia's brilliant bond with the kitties, both Georgia and the kittens were adopted - and she's even gone on to live with one of her 'litter'.

Kevin, a friendly pooch from Florida who goes by @agoldennamedkevin on Instagram, has over 200,000 followers and in an unexpected turn of events, Florida's Clearwater Marine Aquarium contacted Kevin's owners, inviting the good-natured pooch to come in for a day.
