In a world that can seem cruel and cold, we love reading about random acts of kindness that prove there's still some good out there.
And if there's one way to make a story even better, it's by getting a dog involved.
That's why this latest story is giving us all the feels.

Picture the scene: you're out with your friend on a paddleboard, getting some exercise and hanging out, when a dog suddenly spots you from the shore.
But rather than simply wagging his tail and wandering off, the pup senses danger and immediately jumps in to rescue you, dragging you back to shore with the leash from the paddle.
That's exactly what happened to one lucky couple in Cascade Lake, Idaho, who had the pleasure of being 'rescued' by an adorable pooch called Joey.
Now of course the couple weren't actually in trouble, but that's not what's important here.
Watching the whole spectacle unfold, Clay Lindquist was able to catch the hilarious moment when the rescue dog swam out and grabbed the trailing leash, swimming back to shore with the couple and paddleboard safely in toe.
After beaching the board, Joey then let the elastic leash go and hilarity ensued as he splashed the pair in the process

Clay said: "We laughed our asses off. Kind of a laugh and a happy cry because she is so damn cute. We like to think she was trying to save them; she did it multiple times."
Coming up with another fun theory, he added: "Or she was just tired of no-one playing with her so she thought she would bring us in to play fetch with her."
"Joey is hyper intelligent, extremely calm, sweet and goofy."
Is that not just the damn cutest thing you've ever heard? It sure is for us.
