Man Gets His 17 Sausage Dogs To Pose For Photo In Christmas Jumpers

Dachshund through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh, o'er the fields we go, laughing all the way...

A pack of 17 sausage dogs have celebrated Christmas in style with their very own family photo.

Owner Liam Beach had the bright idea to dress his pups; Buster, Daisy, Ziggy, Wallie, Zac, Bonnie, Saffie, Duke, Diamond, Ruby, Kizzy, Sammy, Kansy, Kiki, Lottie, Benji and Dudley, up in festive garb, such as an adorable reindeer, Santas and elves, for the seasonal shot.

The snap, which is positively Christmas card-worthy, sees Liam's 17 pooches sitting on his stairs, like the good boys and girls they are, dressed to impress.

However, Liam admitted that it took him 45 minutes to get the perfect shot as the canines got over excited when they got dressed in their festive threads and believed they were going for a walk.

He said: "I have done Christmas pictures of the dogs previously dressed up for Xmas on the sofa and thought I need to top them so thought I'd do it on the stairs this year.

"I thought that's a challenge, so I had to go one better to prove people wrong with the dogs all dressed up ready for Christmas and I thought it would be funny to see them all dressed up in their little outfits.

Adding: "It took about 45 minutes to get the picture because when the dogs were dressed in their outfits they thought it was time to go walking and all went crazy running around the house.

"So, I had to calm them down before putting them on the stairs."

Armed with a trusty squeaky ball and bag of treats, he managed to capture the shot, before the doggies fell asleep - it's tough at the top.

He continued: "Once they were on the stairs it took ten minutes to get the picture using a squeaky ball and a bag of treats this time around. It was a harder picture to get this year because they thought it was walkies.

"After a while on the stairs with their jumpers on they began to fall asleep so I had to work hard at keeping them awake and looking at the camera.

"People are absolutely loving the picture and commenting how amazing it is and how they are envious of me and that I am lucky having so many."
