Transforming your house into a festive paradise for Christmas is always lots of fun. Although, with each year that passes, it can be difficult to find fresh ideas for decorations.

Luckily a TikTok account dedicated to Christmas decoration hacks and ideas has revealed an easy peasy way to make your front door ready for Santa.

In a bid to ‘ditch the wreath’ this year, TikTok account @bestofchristmass posted a simple and stylish alternative.

Using a long piece of fabric to wrap the door from top to bottom and another, smaller piece of fabric for the sides of the door, and within seconds it looks like a present you’d find under the tree.

To finish off the alternative wreath, the TikTokers add a glittery bow on top of the crossed fabric.

The TikTok account used red fabric and a chequered red and white fabric for the first design.

In a follow-up video, they made another version with just red material and it looks just as stunning.

Judging by the comments lots of TikTok users were sold. One user said they’ll also try the hack on their kitchen cabinets.

Another follower said: “I do this on my door every Christmas”

While a third added: “We do this with our kitchen cabinets and interior doors every year”

A fourth person “That’s what I’m doing every year”.

And others were counting down the days until the big holiday: “OMG I’m living for Christmas.”

As everyone starts thinking about the Christmas decorations their planning to buy, Zara shoppers had quite the shock after the fashion retailer’s line of crocheted Christmas decorations were made available to buy on their website.

Customers were gobsmacked at how different the product photo was from the real deal, so much so that one particular item made it onto a dedicated 'awkward Zara' Instagram account, where it was torn apart in the comments.

The account posted a side-by-side, in which the 'Crocheted Gingerbread Christmas Decoration' was featured alongside a customer photo of the actual product.
