Amy has been very candid with her fans and followers about her pregnancy and motherhood.

She starred in her own comedy special Expecting Amy which documented her preparing for a stand-up performance during her pregnancy. It premiered on HBO Max in July 2020 and featured appearances from her husband Chris Fischer.

In 2019, she posted a collage a photos from the year including the caption, "It was a very good year."

Recently Amy has revealed that while she and her husband do want to have another child, she has no plans to get pregnant again given the struggles she experienced during her first pregnancy.

Amy revealed during a January 2021 episode of the Anna Faris is Unqualified podcast: "I, for my safety, cannot be pregnant again.

"One in three mothers with hyperemesis, what I had, one in three babies don't make it. So I really don't like those odds. Just because you're vomiting so much you can't nourish your baby or yourself, so my pregnancy was a huge bummer."

Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) is an extreme form of morning sickness that causes severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. Other symptoms include weight loss, dehydration and feeling faint. The Duchess of Cambridge was hospitalised due to hyperemesis gravidarum during her first pregnancy and was treated for a similar condition during the subsequent two.
