This Dishwasher Hack Will Make Your Life So Much Easier

This Dishwasher Hack Will Make Your Life So Much Easier

Who knew it was that easy!

TikTok is a goldmine when it comes to clever hacks to solve simple, everyday problems.

Thanks to grandmother Babs - who posts using the name @brunchwithbabs - we now know there's a way to eliminate drying dishes by hand once they have come out of the dishwasher.

Watch the video below:

“Has this ever happened to you? You just washed the dishes but everything is still wet?”

Babs then fetches a towel and instructs her viewers to fold it over the top of the dishwasher door at the end of the cleaning cycle. Then you close the door, wait five minutes and according to Babs “you won’t have to hand dry the dishes.”

The idea behind the hack is that the cloth or towel used soaks up the steam and excessive moisture.

Some people said the hack worked for the them whereas others said it didn't (

While some commenters welcomed the hack, others were not convinced.

“So you have to know when the end of the cleaning cycle is?” Said one concerned commenter.

“You can also leave the door open a little.”

While one person shared: “I did this. Worked perfectly.”

And another TikTok account joked: “What kind of magic trick is this?!

In other news, a doctor on TikTok has explained why paracetamol may not be the best hangover cure.

We’ve all woken up from a night out with a splitting headache and reached for the paracetamol packet for some relief.

However Dr Karan Rangarjan, a surgical doctor and lecturer at Sunderland university, has explained why alcohol and paracetamol should never mix.

Watch the video below:

Even though paracetamol is a common painkiller used to treat pains including headaches, mixing it with alcohol can severely damage liver cells as the video explains.

As the TikTok doctor highlights, both paracetamol and alcohol produce “toxic products” when broken down in the body.

This means that when taken together, the body may not be able to produce enough glutathione quickly, a chemical that neutralises the toxic compounds quickly that can lead to a negative impact on the liver.

Instead of paracetamol, Dr Karan recommends taking ibuprofen to ease that hangover head.
