The Wanted's Tom Parker Opens Up On Reality Of Chemotherapy

Tom said his latest round of treatment has been "hitting him hard".

The Wanted star Tom Parker has opened up about his experience of chemotherapy, telling fans his latest round of treatment has been "hitting him hard".

Tom 32, shared a photo with his wife Kelsey alongside their daughter Aurelia, two and little boy Bodhi, who is nine months old.

"What a difference a few days make. Currently I'm laid in bed with chemo side effects hitting me in the face hard. These 3 little beauties get me through it and make it all worth it," he said.

Over on his Stories, Tom also shared the reality of the treatment, posting an image of his breakfast and adding: "Tryna get just anything inside me is so difficult right now.

"Chemo just absolutely knocks it out of you!! Do we have any better treatments for cancer yet."

Tom revealed he was battling terminal brain cancer last year, after he was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma.

The Wanted bandmate Max George recently revealed that Tom is shocking doctors with how well he is responding to treatment.

Speaking on the Dangerous Dinners podcast, former Strictly Come Dancing star Max, 32, said: "Tom's got something called glioblastoma, which is quite an aggressive form of brain tumour, but he's had his first bout of chemo and radio therapy, which he has responded to unbelievably.

"Doctors were actually shocked by how well he's responded - all of his tumours have been suppressed, so he's in the best hands."

Tom recently updated fans on his health, telling his Instagram followers in January that there had been a "significant reduction" in the size of his tumour.

"I had an MRI scan on Tuesday and my results today were a significant reduction to the tumour and I am responding well to treatment. Everyday I'm keeping on the fight to shrink this b*****d!" he said.

"To everyone on here- your love, light and positivity have inspired me. Every message has not been unnoticed they have given me so much strength. This journey is a rollercoaster that's for sure. Today is a f*****g good day."
