Keeping acne under control can be a full-time job that leaves us spending our hard-earned cash on face masks or creams that promise impressive results in order to get our skin under control.

But one unlikely product has been hailed as a "miracle worker" by fans on social media.

Available on Amazon for £39.99, the Hangsun Light Therapy Acne Treatment LED mask - which frankly looks like something out of a sci-fi movie - comes in a lot cheaper than other, similar products on the market that often start around the £100 mark.

Now fans are going wild for the product, with reviews promising positive results in a matter of days.

One Amazon user called it a "miracle worker" for clearing up the deep and painful spots on her chin.

"I have had this battle with acne for so many years that I lost count," she said. "I have tried everything - diet, supplements, face creams, salon facials etc."

After using the mask for two weeks, Kalina noticed a vast improvement in her skin and urged others to try it out, even claiming it cleared up her deep spots.

"I saw a phenomenal difference in my skin," she revealed. "My skin is much smoother, my skin tone is very even and I no longer get those deep nasty spots."

"Overall, my skin has been perfect," she claimed.

Meanwhile, user Rosie, who used the product for three weeks, said her acne had reduced greatly around her cheek area.

"Had my first day without make up in a long time yesterday and felt confident," she enthused. "Wish I had bought this sooner."

Amazon user Rachel J said the mask reminded her of Top Gear's The Stig but was "comfortable to wear and lightweight".

How does the mask work?

The mask itself works by using proven light therapy technology to target existing breakouts and acne with its three light settings.

Its blue light targets acne itself, while the red setting reduces inflammation caused by breakouts.

The orange light setting, meanwhile, improves dull skin tones.

The mask can be connected to a USB power port for ten minutes at a time and users are noticing visible results within a week of using the miraculous product.

It's also free of chemicals and UV light and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. A win win!
