Everyone's Making Cheesy Garlic Crumpets

Everyone's Making Cheesy Garlic Crumpets

These look unreal.

Is there any better side than garlic bread oozing with cheese? Not in our opinion! Which is why we were left drooling this week, when we came across a recipe for cheesy garlic bread made from none other than crumpets.

Yep! The mouthwatering concoction was first shared by TikToker @foodmadesimple, who posted the idea as well as a handy video of how it's done.

You can watch below:

In the clip, the TikToker first takes five crumpets before cutting them into quarters and arranging them in a baking dish.

They then coat the crumpets in plenty of melted garlic butter (drool) before adding a generous helping of cheese.

It's important not to be stingy on the garlic and cheese - the more the better if you ask us.

Then, all you need to do is pop in the oven for around 10 mins until the cheese has melted and the crumpets are golden brown.

Just look at the end result...

We can't believe we've never thought of making garlic bread from crumpets before? There's something about the airy texture of a crumpet that makes them perfect for covering in garlic butter and cheese.

And other users agreed, with one person commenting: "WE MUST DO THIS."

Meanwhile, another said: "Oh my I love garlic bread AND crumpets."

And a third added "Okay so at first I was like, no you can't mess with crumpets but now I'm sat here knowing I have crumpets in the cupboard contemplating making this."

A fourth commented: "Leaves house to go and buy crumpets."

And others have been trying out the recipe too, with people sharing their versions on Instagram.

Right, we're off to buy crumpets - and lots of garlic and cheese!
