TikTok is full of all kinds of nifty life hacks and the latest one helps you get an even coverage of vinegar on your chips.

TikTok account Onlyscrans, which has more than 88,000 followers, demonstrated in a video how to get an even coating of vinegar on your food by putting it in a spray bottle.

During the video, the creator says: “Next time you’re putting vinegar on your chips, stick it in a spray bottle and spray it all over. You get a nice even application and none of it gets soggy. You’re welcome.” You can watch the video below.

The clip has racked up more than 117,000 likes and over 2,700 comments from chip lovers.

“Game changer,” commented one amazed TikTok user.

“Done it this way for years,” said another fan of the hack.

“Put the salt in with the vinegar too!!” suggested another user.

“The hack I never knew I needed,” said another.

“Brilliant. Make this compulsory in all chippies,” said another.

But not everybody was convinced.

“Am I supposed to carry it in my pocket?” asked one user, referring to the size and bulkiness of a spray bottle.

“Actually an uneven application is what makes it great, because it varies the taste of the chips,” said another.

“If it ain’t dripping on the last couple of chips I don’t want it,” commented another passionate chippy lover.

“But I want it swimming,” said another.

We guess it’s down to personal preference. Clearly there are plenty of people out there who like their chips drenched in vinegar (myself included). But if you don’t this hack could be the solution.
