Tyla Bakes: People Are Loving This Simple Oreo Mug Cake

This is super quick and easy!

This trending Oreo mug cake recipe is popping up everywhere on our feed, and it's the perfect sweet treat that can be whipped up in a matter of minutes.

All you need are a few simple ingredients, a mug and a microwave, and you'll have mouths watering in no time!

Check out the recipe here:

To make this Oreo mug cake, you'll need the following:

  • Five Oreos
  • A splash of milk
  • One tbsp of sugar
  • One tbsp of flour
  • One tsp of cocoa powder
  • Half tsp of baking powder.

Take four of your Oreos and place them at the bottom of your mug side-by-side.

After adding your splash of milk to the mug, take a fork and mash up your biscuits to create a sort of Oreo paste.

Next, add your remaining ingredients to the mix (sugar, flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder).

The following step is optional but we highly recommend it: Take a fifth Oreo and softly push it into the centre of the cake batter.

If you have Oreos lying around in your pantry, this is a must-try! (

Simply place your mug in the microwave for five minutes and voilà! Your mug cake is complete! Grab a spoon and dig in.

If you're still looking for that extra something, then we recommend putting a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top of the piping hot cake and letting it melt just a tad before you dig in.

We're drooling already!

If you've got a little bit more time on your hands then maybe you're willing to have a go at this puff pastry chocolate Christmas tree as the ultimate festive dessert.

But when you're looking for something more savoury, might we recommend these delicious cheesy garlic roast potatoes? If you're looking for some inspiration, these are the perfect addition to your Christmas feast.

Drowning your crispy roast potatoes in piles of parmesan and garlic butter sounds like a winner to us.
